World War II History to Land in Twin Falls, Idaho with B-29 DOC
The B-29 DOC History Restored Tour will land in Twin Falls, Idaho, and Magic Valley Regional Airport June 18-21.
DOC is one of 1,644 Boeing B-29 Superfortress bombers built in Wichita, Kan., during World War II, and one of only two B-29 bombers still airworthy and flying today. This historic aircraft will be available for ground and cockpit tours, as well as B-29 DOC Flight Experience rides during the four-day tour stop.
“We’re excited to bring DOC to Twin Falls and give people the opportunity to experience one of the most iconic aircraft of World War II up close,” said Steve Zimmerman, B-29 DOC aircraft commander. “These historic warbirds are more than museum pieces—they’re flying classrooms that connect us directly to the stories of the men and women who built, maintained, and flew them. Every stop on our tour is an opportunity to preserve that history, honor the Greatest Generation, and inspire new generations to understand the sacrifices and innovations that helped shape our world. Sharing DOC with communities across the country is a vital part of keeping that legacy alive.”
B-29 DOC Flight Experience tickets are on sale now at www.b29doc.com/rides.
The tour stop in Twin Falls is the second of three for DOC in June, which also included the Moses Lake Airshow in Moses Lake, WA (June 12-13) and Historic Wendover Air Field in Wendover, UT (June 24-29).
