B-29 Doc and EAA B-25 Berlin Express announce joint tour stops in Florida and Louisiana

B-29 Doc and the Experimental Aircraft Association’s (EAA) B-25 Berlin Express will join together for multiple tour stops in Florida and Louisiana to kick off the 2022 tour season for both historic aircraft.

The two historic World War II-era aircraft will tour together in Tallahassee, FL (March 31-April 3), at Sun ‘n Fun Aerospace Expo in Lakeland, FL (April 5-10), and Monroe, LA (April 14-17). The joint History Restored Tour will include ground and cockpit tours for both warbirds, as well as B-29 and B-25 ride flight experience at each location.

“Bringing these two historic and iconic warbirds together to honor the legacy of those who designed, built, flew and maintained these aircraft will be a unique and one-of-a-kind event,” said Josh Wells, B-29 Doc executive director and general manager. “We are excited to partner with the EAA team to continue our joint mission of honoring the Greatest Generation.”

B-29 Doc and B-25 Berlin ExpressRide tickets are on sale now for both aircraft. B-29 Doc Flight Experience tickets can be purchased at www.b29doc.com/rides, while ride flight tickets for the EAA’s B-25 Berlin Express can be found at www.FlyTheB25.org.

“The rare opportunity to see living aviation history is even more unforgettable when these two iconic aircraft appear together at these upcoming stops,” said Sean Elliott, EAA’s vice president of advocacy and safety, who leads the EAA’s air operations team. “These joint appearances bring the history and heroism of World War II out of the books and videos to a personal experience and a tribute to people who defended freedom.”

“The joint tour will give warbird fans a unique opportunity to see the aircraft that helped defend freedom and gave the Allies the victory over oppression during World War II,” Wells said. “Having both aircraft on tour together will allow us to further tell those stories and honor the men and women who have served our nation, and who continue to fight to protect freedom at home and abroad.”
