The B-29 DOC Hangar, Education and Visitors Center is proud to be the host of the 2025 National Aviation Hall of Fame Enshrinement Ceremony in Wichita, KS, Sept. 19, 2025!
As part of the event, attendees will have an exclusive opportunity to take the ride of a lifetime and get up close and personal with history, finding themselves in the very spot where veterans once sat as they fought for freedom. B-29 DOC and P-51 Gunfighter will be available for ride flights on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 19 and 20.

B-29 DOC Flight Experience rides will be available Friday, Sept. 19 at 9 a.m., 10:30 a.m., and 12 p.m., and on Saturday, Sept. 20 at 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Each B-29 Doc Flight Experience will last approximately 90 minutes and include a 30-minute ride. Prior to takeoff, passengers will experience a crew briefing and learn more about the history of the B-29 and role it played in U.S. history. The P-51 Gunfighter flight experience rides will be available Friday, Sept. 19, and Saturday, Sept. 20, beginning at 9 a.m. The P-51 flights range from 20 to 40 minutes and provide the opportunity to fly in one of the greatest aircraft of all time. B-29 DOC Seat locations & pricing
Each B-29 Doc Flight Experience flight has 11 seats:
- Bombardier ($1,500)
- Cockpit/Pilot Observer ($1,200)
- Radio Operator ($1,200)
- Navigator ($1,200)
- Master Gunner ($600)
- Gunner ($600 each, six seats)
The Bombardier, Cockpit/Pilot Observer and Navigator seats are in the forward section (front) of the aircraft, while the Master Gunner and six Gunner seats are in the aft section (back) of the aircraft. Each seat offers a unique, one-of-a-kind experience with seat-specific views and experiences.
